Business Support Analyst

The Cato Corporation is seeking an experienced Business Support Analyst to join our Merchandise Information team.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Liaise with key stakeholders to understand their business needs and translate these into requirements for the development of technology solutions to improve business efficiency and execute company goals;
- Design, test and train merchandising systems and maintains a detailed knowledge of end to end business functions, processes and controls;
- Develop and maintain understanding of all merchandise-related system workflows, functions, processes and business needs to supply quality support and solutions;
- Collaborate with cross functional business teams to gather business requirements;
- Deliver precise functional specifications to Technology partners based off business requirements and use cases;
- Partner with Technology team to develop business functionality;
- Work with Technology team to communicate, verify and test functionality changes;
- Work with business teams to demonstrate the changes to the systems to ensure all relevant business needs are addressed;
- Develop training materials and provide system and process training;
- Manage multiple competing priorities through effective communication and organizational agility;
- Recommend and institute best practices and new functionality to streamline processes; and
- Coordinate and implement business resolutions.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
- Minimum of 2 years systems analyst experience in a retail environment;
- Strong training experience;
- Proficient with SQL and Excel;
- Ability to organize and prioritize workload; and
- Experience in the following systems or systems similar would be a plus: Oracle - RMS, RPM, OBIEE, RI, BIP and Assortment Planning (RPAS). Blue Yonder - Allocation and Planning systems and PTC – FlexPLM.
EDUCATION:
- 4 year degree or equivalent work experience
